PANJIM: The Nationalist Congress Party on Tuesday accused Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar of posting a morphed photograph of him standing beside Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan on his Facebook page and demanded an apology for the act.
NCP party calling the post a “white lie” charged that the caption says: “swearing in ceremony with Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan.”
The attire of the Prime Minister in the photo and at the actual swearing in ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan exposes the lie, argued the party spokesman at a press conference Wednesday saying that it was a shame that a Goa Cabinet Minister went to such an extent of posting an old photograph and claimed that it was a photograph at Rashtrapati Bhavan at swearing in ceremony which was held on May 26.
The photo caption included the caption “swearing in ceremony with Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan” and along with the two the photos also had an official working in the chief minister’s office, Siddharth Kunkolienkar, in the background.
NCP alleged that Kunkolienkar was in Panjim on Monday evening at Azad Maidan Panjim where the live telecast of the swearing in ceremony was projected on a giant screen.
The NCP spokesman also showed photos of Kunkolienkar in Panjim at the live telecast on Monday evening to make his point.
