NCP opposes Ivermectin

Says WHO and other well known doctors have warned of the side effects

VASCO: Nationalist Congress Party State president Jose Philip D’souza stated that in spite of the World Health Organisation (WHO) warning the Goa Government against the use of administering the Ivermectin Drug to the citizens, the health dept has decided to carry on with its drive to administer the drug to people. NCP party has raised its doubts over the Ivermectin drug distribution despite of warning from WHO.

In his statement D’souza said that “WHO and other well known doctors have warned of the side effects of the use of Ivermectin and if the government claims it has data of positive clinical trials and the safety of this drug then they should immediately release the Data, failing which it is an deliberate attempt to endanger peoples life.”

He further said few days ago there was an article where it was published that the government has procured Ivermectin tablets worth over 22 crores and this could an attempt by the government to push these tablets to fulfil their personal agenda.
