PERNEM: The no-confidence motion tabled against Keri-Tiracol sarpanch Sulaksha Talkar fizzled out after all the four panchas who had moved the motion stayed absent from the meeting held on Friday.

Four panch members namely Prashant Narvekar (deputy sarpanch), Peter Fernandes, Darshana Naik and Siddarth Nagoji had moved the motion against the sarpanch on February 3.
The panchas in the notice had cited that the sarpanch does not take fellow members into confidence and backs illegal activities in the panchayat. However none of the panchas who had signed the notice showed up for the meeting scheduled to discuss the matter.
The panchayat has seven panch members.
