PONDA: Additional District Magistrate South Goa, Ponda Gouresh Kurtikar directed the president of Curti-Ponda masjid not to use loudspeaker/public address system without obtaining prior permission from concerned authority.

Kurtikar said, “Further the concerned authority, in case, if application is filed before him, the same may be dealt with in accordance with law including Noise Pollution Rules. Even if permission is granted then the noise level should not exceed 10dB(A) above the ambient noise standard for the area or 75DB(A) whichever is lower.”
