MAPUSA: PWD water supply for the Baga area has been affected for the past several days due to repeated damage of the water pipeline due to the sinking/caving of the Calangute to Baga road as well as continued movement of vehicles on the same road.

Locals complained of not receiving a single drop of drinking water as the pipeline has been damaged at different locations including opposite Jipsy Mart, opposite Miranda Hotel, near government primary school, near CSM, near Baga deck and Piety Chapel, which forced the people to get water through tankers.
Locals claimed that there is need of support for this pipeline. “When water comes with pressure, the pipeline breaks since there is no support. For the past six days we haven’t received a single drop of water.”, locals claimed.
