He has further said that the bottlenecks in the implementation of government schemes are considerably reduced and the people develop confidence in the functioning of the government departments if the services are made available online.
Parsekar was speaking after launching online services of Goa Housing Board (GHB) on Monday.
He further said, “To ensure that Goans get the flats and plots of GHB, the State government has raised the limit of residence. Now applicants applying for flats or plots should be a resident of Goa for 15 years and one of their parents should be born in Goa.”
CHB chairman Glen Ticlo stated that when he took over the responsibility of GHB, there was no transparency in its functioning. He said, “The administration was bad, and the urgent need for making the GHB services online was felt. With the launching of online service, there will be transparency and clarity in the administration of GHB and the people will also develop confidence.”
Industries Minister Mahadev Naik, GHB Managing Director Sabaji Shetye and Director of Information and Technology Amey Abhyanker were present.
