MARGAO: Councillor Glen Andrade organised an outreach programme at the home for the aged managed by Provedoria opposite Hospicio which is in his ward. Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardessai and his wife Usha spent time with the senior citizens housed there.
The programme organised on the world grandparents day had prominent doctor Carmo Gracias along with his wife Dr Fernanda as chief guests while parish priest of Holy Spirit Church Fr Amandio Valadares blessed those who had gathered along with the inmates of the home.
The elders were treated to an entertainment programme with Alacoque Morenas and Anson Fernandes performing live.
and Humbert along with Pitush presenting a comedy skit that was much enjoyed. Jesus Rebeiro hosted the show and also conducted some games.
Vijai while stating that service to humanity is the best work of life said he always supported renovation of the home for the aged and had got it renovated under the Corporate Social Responsibility in the year 2017
Glen while proposing the vote of thanks vowed to organize the programme every year.
