VASCO: Zonal Agriculture Office at Margao organised a special training programme on pest management for farmers of Velsao-Pale. The programme was attended by many farmers.
At the programme, technology officer Richa Desai gave details about the agricultural schemes. She also informed about the importance of Shetkaar Aadhar Nidhi and Krishi Cards.
Free sample bottles of waste decomposter were distributed to farmers present at the programme.
Later, Richa Desai briefed farmers about field preparation where she told them about the usage of lime and paddy husks. She also spoke on waste decomposter. Relevance of micro organisms in agriculture was explained and elaborate information on pest management was also given to farmers.
The agriculture officials promised to help the farmers on schemes and provide information about farming.
