Since the last two months, 24 people from Sapna Park at Bethora and Durgabhat-Ponda have been bitten by stray dogs. On Friday, people at Durgabbat were shocked to see a pet dog, belonging to Prashant Sirsat, attacking three people.
According to Pratmesh, the pet dog first bit his mother when she was giving food to it. “After some time, my pet dog bit me and the dog immediately turned violent and bit Sheikh Abdul Vahab,” he informed.
Former Ponda Municipal Council chairperson Kishore Naik, who informed the media, demanded that the government should take the issue of stray dogs seriously and some serious measures should be initiated. Ponda MLA Lavoo Mamledar said he is aware of the menacethat he would write to the CM.
