PANJIM: A team of the Port Blair Municipal Council (PBMC) on Tuesday visited the Saligao Water Treatment Plant and Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP) as a part of its study tour to Goa.
PBMC Chairperson B E Eswar Rao, along with his councillors, called on Panjim Mayor Surendra Furtado and Commissioner Deepak Desai wherein the corporation’s functioning, including garbage collection and treatment, house tax, etc were discussed.
“The team had come to learn about the functioning of the CCP and the exercises it carries out,” the Mayor told Herald.
During the discussion, CCP was informed that PBMC, unlike the Panjim corporation, already has by-laws and the latter’s Smart City projects have entered the second stage.
