Protesting Anganwadi workers announce indefinite fast

Anganwadi workers who were
protesting at Azad Maidan, Panjim against their job termination have announced
to go on indefinite fast starting from Thursday. When approached the chief
secretary they were warned to stop protesting in the next two days or they will
be arrested said the Anganwadi workers. 


The
workers say that the chief secretary informed them that they will be hired on a
temporary appointment for 6 months and based on their behaviour it’ll be decided
if their services are needed. The workers have been protesting at Azad Maidan
for 22 days to revoke their termination. They have stated that they will not
move unless justice is served to them
