It is recalled that the only culvert at Vargan ward was badly damaged by the incessant downpour in September thereby cutting the important link road for vehicular traffic.

While small cars and two wheelers continued to use the damaged culvert, the school bus plying in the village has stopped, inconveniencing students.

The students hailing from Vargan ward are now compelled to walk for quite a distance to board the school bus. The villagers too face difficulties in getting heavy material here on account of the damaged culvert which is yet to be repaired. The heavy rains have also exposed the underground electricity cables and there is every chance of them being damaged if preventive measures are not taken to cover them on time.

The authorities have however placed some broken marble pieces over the open electricity cables as a precautionary measure.
