The Raia road is a sensitive issue for the village given the number of accidents on the road that was recently repaired.
While there is a speed breaker installed, Xavier Fernandes, Raia panch member pointed out that they had asked for two more speedbreakers at strategic places taking into consideration the speed at which vehicles ply on the road to prevent accidents.
He added that the panchayat had held meetings with the collector and PWD about the same and were hopeful that the matter would be taken up at the earliest.
