The Special Investigation Team of the Crime Branch has arrested
Mohammad Sohail Safi ( aged 44) in connection with the fraudulent land grabbing
case at Assagao. He is suspected to be involved in document forgery for the transfer of land. This is the second such arrest after the arrest of Vikrant
Shetty, in the same case on Saturday. The Special Investigation Team set up to
probe land grabbing has registered a First Information Report against many
persons.
