MARGAO: A complaint has been filed by a son that his 79-year-old father was assaulted with his own walking stick on Thursday evening.
Kader Gajanan Vete, residing near Mohini Hotel, old station road, Margao in a complaint filed before Margao police has stated that on Thursday at 6.15 pm, his 79-year-old father Gajanan who was walking along the road at Hari Mandir rickshaw stand, Margao, was abused by one Ramnath Alve, residing opposite Laximi lodge, Margao.
The complaint alleged that the accused snatched the walking stick Gajanan was carrying and he was assaulted on head with the walking stick causing bleeding injuries.
The police have registered offence under section 324, 504 IPC against Alve and investigation is in progress.
