Sex racket busted; two girls rescued

PERNEM: Pernem police rescued two young girls who were forced into sex trade after raiding a spa at Arambol. The spa owner has been arrested.
Pernem Police Inspector Sandesh Chodankar said that he received information that human trafficking was going in a spa at Khalchawada, Arambol and young girls were being forced into sex trade in the guise of employing them in a spa by Sudhakar Gopal Kelan (53), a native of Kunnethottahil House, Kanniyampuram, Ottappalam, Palakkad Kerala. 
Acting on the same, a decoy customer was sent to the spa with four notes of Rs 500 denomination with special marking. As soon as the decoy customer entered the spa, PI Chodankar along with PSI Praful Giri in presence of an NGO representative and two panchas witnesses raided the spa and rescued the two girls. 
The accused Kelan is arrested under Section 4, 5 and 7 of Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act 1956 and Section 370 of IPC.
The other members of the raiding team were Constables Devidas Malik, Anant Bhaidkar, Gurudas Mandrekar, Rohidas Maloji, Sachin Gawas, Kiran Parab, lady constables Smita Gawas, Priyanka Raut and Trupti Vazarkar.
