Panjim was among the first 100 cities selected by the centre when Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Smart Cities Mission in June 2015, However as the years have gone by the city has constantly proven that it lacks the essence of smartness.
Proving this, the engineers constructed a bridge over an existing bridge, which was constructed during the Portuguese era. The ‘smart’ engineers are now working towards demolishing the old structure. Are smart city heroes now trying to ruin structures built during the Portuguese era?
