PANJIM: Neither the BJP or the Congress seem to be able to find a candidate for South Goa
The name of the candidate for the South Goa Parliamentary constituency did not figure in BJP’s third and fourth list, Nor did the Congress name its South Goa candidate. the Congress hasn’t named its North Goa candidate either

Last week, both, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and and BJP State president Sadanand Sheth Tanavade Tanavade had stated that the party’s candidate for the South Goa seat would be announced with next two days.
Tanavade had stated that deliberations were ongoing in New Delhi regarding whether the candidate for South Goa seat will be a woman or a man.
Besides shortlisting three names, the BJP State unit has also submitted names of women candidates.
Meanwhile, the Congress Party is also yet to declare names of party candidates for the two seats in the State even as it released its third list of 57 candidates for Lok Sabha polls on Thursday.
Goa goes to polls in the third phase on May 7 while, the process of filing nomination papers will start from April 12.
