TCP Dept ‘corrects’ 17,552 sqmts more land as settlement zone

PANJIM: The Town and Country Planning (TCP) Department has ‘corrected’ 17,552 square metres of land into a settlement zone in the Regional Plan 2021 in different parts of the State using provisions under sub-section (2) of Section 17 of the TCP Act, 1974.

According to the notification issued to this effect on Thursday, the land parcels corrected into settlement zones include – plot of land admeasuring an area of 6,000 square metre, surveyed under Survey No. 1, sub-division No. 11-A, of Cujira village in Tiswadi, earmarked as paddy field; land admeasuring an area of 623 square meters, surveyed under Survey No. 27, sub-division No. 2 of Kundaim village, Ponda, earmarked as natural cover zone with no development slope, plot of land admeasuring an area of 1,575 square metres, surveyed under Survey No. 23, sub-division No. 15, of Colva village in Salcete, earmarked as orchard.

The parcels also include plot of land admeasuring an area of 430 square metres, surveyed under Survey No 23, sub-division No 3-E, of Vanelim-Colva village, Salcete, not earmarked under any zone, plot of land admeasuring an area of 370 square metres, surveyed under Survey No. 174, sub-division No. 1-T, of Camurlim village, earmarked as paddy field, plot of land admeasuring an area of 140 square metres, surveyed under Survey No. 253, sub-division No. 1-B-2, of Raia village, Salcete, earmarked as orchard zone, plot of land admeasuring an area of 450 square metres, surveyed under Survey No 106, sub-division No 5, of Assagao village, earmarked as orchard.

It also includes plot of land admeasuring an area of 500 square metres, surveyed under Survey No 26, sub-division No 4-C, of Reis Magos village earmarked as orchard and plot of land admeasuring an area of 7464 square meter, surveyed under Survey No. 259, sub-division No. 13 of Aldona village in Bardez taluka, earmarked as orchard, the notification said.
