PANJIM: Three departments, Directorate of Education, Directorate of Higher Education and Electricity Department, have fixed the same date and time for the written test for candidates who had applied for government jobs.
Thousands of youth who applied in all three departments were shocked on receiving three call letters with the same dates and time. They are now worried as the dates and timings would not allow them to answer all three tests.
However, Directorate of Education and Directorate of Higher Education clarified that both departments will consider the marks of the test answered, which means candidates need not answer both exams.
There has been no clarification from the Electricity Department that is holding the written test to recruit meter readers.
All three written tests are scheduled on August 28 between 10 am to 1 pm at various institutes in North Goa.
Interestingly, Directorate of Higher Education had issued an advertisement for vacancies in February 2015 and Directorate of Education in September 2015. After a delay of almost a year the departments decided to schedule the written tests before the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Electricity Department had advertised vacancies in June this year.
