PANJIM: The government has affected transfers of top police personnel Thursday with SP Vijay Singh stands transferred from traffic to security while SP Arvind Gawas replaces him in traffic. Gawas was previously SP Headquarters.
SP Vishram Borkar has been transferred from Tourist police to HQ while SP Om Prakash Kudtarkar who was in charge of crime is transferred to Tourist police.
SP Kartik Kashyap has been given charge of Crime, with additional charge of the Anti Narcoitics Cell. He was earlier in charge of the ANC.
SP Tony Fernandes who is due to retire by January end will remain with FRRO that will be given to SP Singh when he retires.
KK Vyas, Bramha Singh and OP Mishra are all DIGs with Mishra handling crime and security and Vyas to handle SIT and HQ.
