Colvale: Hundreds of truck owners and operators from across Goa gathered in Colvale to protest against the surge in hit-and-run cases and what they perceive as inadequate law enforcement. Expressing their concern, the protesters highlighted the alarming frequency of such incidents and called for stricter measures to address the issue.
Truck owners demanded increased patrolling and Nakabandi (checkpoints) across Goa, especially at main intersections and junctions. They emphasized the need for law enforcement agencies to take a more proactive stance in preventing hit-and-run accidents and holding perpetrators accountable.
