A Karnataka registration truck went off Karmal Ghat road and overturned injuring both driver and cleaner today morning.
According to Canacona police, the Karnataka registration truck KA-25 A-9481 was overloaded with some gunny bags, and reportedly developed a technical snag due to which it fell on one side at Karmalghat slope. The overturned truck however, rested against a tree, but gunny bags were seen strewn all around on the Karmal Ghat slope.
Driver, Mohamad Mehboob a native of Karnataka who was seriously injured alongwith cleaner was first shifted in 108 vehicle to Canacona community Health centre and thereafter taken to Hospicio, Margao for advanced treatment.
Police informed that further investigation is going on under the supervision of Canacona PI Suraj Halarnkar.
