PANJIM: Two constables, Budhaj B Naik and Sudatta Khadpe, attached to Panjim police control room were suspended for dereliction of duty by North Goa SP Kartik Kashyap.
“The constables were in Robert 2 (PCR vehicle). Their posting was at Divja Circle but when SP Kashyap paid a surprise visit, the constables were missing. They were found somewhere at Patto but could not give a satisfactory respond for their absence at the duty place,” said an official.
Since the constables also failed to make an official entry in the log book about going to a different location, the District SP ordered their suspension pending disciplinary inquiry.
