MARGAO: Two minor siblings, a brother-sister duo, residents of Bali became victims of cattle menace, when they were riding on a two-wheeler hit the cattle squatting on the road, suffering major injuries, late Thursday evening.

Cuncolim Police said the 13-year-boy has been admitted to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim while his 17-year-old sister was taken to South Goa District Hospital, Margao.
“A police team visited the respective hospitals where they are admitted but it was told that they were not in a position to give their statements,” the police said.
Cuncolim Police informed that on Thursday night, they received information regarding the incident at Bali and immediately, a police team visited the spot.
However, the victims were shifted to the hospital before the police could reach the spot.
Police stated that two of them were taken to Bali Health Centre and later shifted to South Goa District Hospital, Margao. The minor boy was then taken to the GMC for treatment.
The police said that the two siblings, who had come to Bali to make some household purchases and as they were returning home on their scooter, did not notice the cattle squatting on the road in dark, hit them and fell on the road suffering major injuries.
Police have conducted panchanama and further investigation is in progress.
