Panjim: The Panjim “Smart City” will get a Danish gift of Urban Living Lab. During the visit of Denmark Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen for Vibrant Gujarat Summit an MoU has been signed between Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited and the Danish Embassy in New Delhi to establish an Urban Living Lab in Panaji, Goa, revealed IPSCDL vice chairman Siddharth Kuncoliencar.
He said that around 130 Danish companies have invested in India in areas such as shipping, renewable energy, environment, agriculture and food processing and are keen to expand their engagements in other sectors like smart urban development and waste-to-energy.
Siddharth said the MoU will benefit Panjim and Goa immensely as the entire investment would be from the Government of Denmark.
“The Urban Living lab will be a kind of institute which will train engineers to design smart cities,” he said.
Siddharth said this will give Goan youth also a chance for employment etc.
