PONDA: MGP Marcaim MLA Sudin Dhavalikar on Monday said that various development works including repairs of road have been approved in the Marcaim Constituency.

He said, “These works were halted. However, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant gave approval to these works and would begin soon.”
“The potholes repair work is commenced on Monday from Kavlem Panchayat and soon it would cover all other panchayats of Marcaim Constituency. The hot-mixing of road from Adpoi to Kaswada Ganapati Temple, similarly, from Mardol to Parampoi would be taken up as the Chief Minister has assured to complete these works,” he added.
He also said that the Ramnathi culvert beside improvement work on jogging track at Bandora Kashimath ground and Kavlem ground will be completed.
“The 60 mm dia pipeline installation work is progressing from Kundaim to Marcaim and after completion of the work the water crisis at Marcaim would be over,” Dhavalikar said.
Meanwhile, Ponda MLA Ravi Naik launched development works at Khadpaband Ponda and Curti Panchayat area. These include retaining walls at five places.
“The hot-mixing of Ponda roads would be taken in December. The work of Maruti Temple road to Upper Bazaar, Post Office to Ponda and Dhavlim would begin and hot-mixed soon,” he said.
