Reacting to Vijai Sardesai’s statements “when we were earlier together in the government, I haven’t understood Michael much”, Waste Management Minister Michael Lobo on Wednesday said, “Vijai has seen at a different picture when he became the deputy chief minister. Lobo said, “Obviously, I need not give my report card to anyone as my work on the solid waste management for the State speaks volumes.”
Advising Vijai, Lobo mentioned that he has to come down from his “Cloud 9” and walk with us to solve the issues surrounding Sonsoddo. He needs to be humble as he lost his path. “When he became the Minister he was in the clouds, but when he became deputy chief minister he went above “Cloud 9”, he needs to come down and walk with us. I am not for politicisation of the issue nor I am against him, MMC or anyone else concerned,” he added.
Reacting to the Sonsoddo issue, Lobo said, “Vijai has failed on the promises he made at the site even after being DyCM”. Taking a dig at Vijai, Lobo said, “If the representatives fail in their assurances, they become garbage and the garbage has to be treated”.
