PANJIM: Deputy Speaker and St Andre MLA Vishnu Wagh remained under observation at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim on Sunday after a procedure conducted late Saturday night following a heart attack.
He is currently under observation in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). We are monitoring him. He is still on ventilator,” a senior GMC doctor told Herald.
Wagh was admitted to GMC on Saturday night after he suffered a heart attack during the birthday celebrations of BJP State vice-president Anil Hoble at Ribandar.
An angioplasty was done on him to clear two blocks which were found in his heart, the doctor said. He added that Wagh’s vital signs are okay but his blood pressure is not under control. GMC has refused to divulge any more details about his health.
