PANJIM: Maverick BJP MLA Vishnu Wagh, who was assaulted some time back while returning from a function and had blamed certain sections of the BJP for the assault, Wednesday sought to downplay the incident after the issue was raised by Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai.
Even as Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said that the matter was under investigation and there were arrests made in the case, Wagh got up and requested that the matter should not be discussed in the House, leaving the normally voluble Sardesai dumbstruck.
The reply and intervention were made in reply to the question about the present status of the assault case on Wagh, as on date.
