VASCO: A murder accused woman who was arrested by Vasco Police on Sunday in connection with the alleged murder of her husband Kaushalendra Pratap Singh, has been remanded to four days police custody by JMFC Vasco on Monday.
Speaking to this daily, DySP Sunita Sawant informed that the accused woman Sandhya Chauhan, who was held under Section 302 of IPC in connection with the alleged murder of her husband, who was aircraft handler, has been given four days police custody.
Sawant further said that the post-mortem on Kaushalendra has been conducted on Monday and body has been preserved.
Police are interrogating the accused in all possible angles and further investigation is ongoing.
It may be recalled that Sandhya, wife of demised Kaushalendra allegedly murdered her husband over a verbal spat on the issue of his heavy drinking and for regularly abusing her. The wife hit several times on husbands head with wooden scantling during altercation making him grievously injured and ultimately leading to his death.
