MARGAO: Chandor Cavorim Panchayat has managed to get a written undertaking from M/s Feedback Infra Pvt. Ltd that they will remove the mud dumped by them across River Kushawati before the onset of monsoon.
The letter written by Praveen Prasad Sinha, the company’s project manager states that they are constructing major bridge No 218 between Chandor and Curchorem Railway Stations. He admitted that they have blocked the natural water way to some extent.
While pointing out that they expect to complete the bridge within two months, he assured that they would remove the temporary blockage of the natural waterway before the onset of monsoons.
It may be recalled that on January 27, 2018, the company PRO had assured Sarpanch Celina Coelho that they would submit an undertaking to clear the blockage before the monsoons. Meanwhile, MLA Clafasio Dias, who was scheduled to inspect the work on Saturday cancelled the same as none of the railways engineers were available.
