WRD monitoring water levels in North Goa areas: Minister

PANJIM: Water Resources Minister Subhash Shirodkar on Thursday said that the department engineers were monitoring the water levels at various locations in the North Goa district in view of increase in water levels of the Tillari reservoir due to incessant rain in Maharashtra.

Shirodkar said that gates were not opened but there was heavy flow of water. The WRD engineers will take necessary action and do whatever possible where water level rises so as to avoid any eventuality.
