MAPUSA: In a tragic incident, a 21-year-old youth from Guirim drowned in a lake at Bala Sakhleshwar Temple at Assagao, on Sunday evening.
The Anjuna police gave the name of the victim as Anthony Fernandes, who along with his seven friends from the village decided to go for a swim in the lake on Sunday afternoon.

On getting the information, the Anjuna police rushed to the spot and removed the body. The police conducted the panchanama and preserved the body at the District Hospital, Mapusa, for autopsy to be conducted on Monday.
