CURTORIM: Agxem edged past Cumborda 3-2 to clinch the Paldem Sports Club inter-ward trophy in the final played at St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, recently.
Maxon opened the score-line for Cumborda in the fifth minute. Five minutes later, Allen Piexoto equalised for Agxem.
Josly Gomes made it 2-1 in the 13th minute. Vernon Fernandes equalised for Cumborda, 2-2.
With just six minutes left for the final whistle, Josly netted his brace to make it 3-2 for Agxem. Sarpanch of Village Panchayat Curtorim Rui Menezes was the chief guest and gave away the prizes to winners and runners-up in the presence of Simon, Jimmy, John and other dignitaries.
