MARDOL: Amona defeated Shantadurgha 1-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the late Vasant Naik Ponda taluka football tournament, played at Kuncolim Mardol ground on Wednesday.
Amona scored the match-winner through Deepraj in the 18th minute.
In another match, Luis 9 defeated Snipper FC 3-0 to move into the quarter-finals.
Agnelo scored a brace in the 7th and 9th minutes while Ashley netted a goal for Luis 9 in the 15th minute.
In another match, Divar FC got the better of Dhulaphi High Voltage 5-4 to move into the quarter-final.
