MARGAO: Riding on a superb century by Anand Abishet (147 runs) Madel Yuwak Sangh defeated Stamina CC by a huge margin of 219 runs in the ‘B’ division Tiswadi zone cricket tournament organized by Goa Cricket Association at Bandodkar ground, Panjim on Wednesday.
Batting first Madel YS scored 320 for 5 in 36 overs. Vishant Toraskar smashed 68 runs while Mayur Mayenkar was the most successful bowler scalping 3 for 65 runs. In reply Stamina CC inning was folded in just 101 runs with Vinay Naik (25) and Pawan Naik (25) able to cross double digit as the other batsmen failed miserably.
Vidur Phadte was the wrecker-in-chief taking 5 wickets for 13 runs.
