Both goalkeepers stole the limelight in a match played mostly without showers. If Dramapur goalkeeper Sunny excelled in the first half it was Floyd Pereira who made some acrobatic saves to take his team into the last eight.
Velito Cruz’s two goals in a span of five minutes put the Dramapur side on the defensive. Velito’s first goal came from a goalmouth melee when he kept his cool and tapped home in the 7th minute.
Velito netted his second when he poked home a free-kick in the 11th minute.
Arlem thereafter missed sitters. Dramapur goalkeeper Sunny Fernandes also made some brilliant saves.
After exchange of ends and with a two-goal deficit, Dramapur attacked the Arlem citadel with constant raids. They managed to reduce the margin through Franky Oliveira in the 35th minute.
Danny Fernandes scored Arlem’s third in the 38th.
Dramapur with their never-say-die spirit reduced the margin further when Sanay Oliveira scored in the 54th minute. Referee Milagres Noronha cautioned Chadel Fernandes of Dramapur.
