PANJIM: Goalkeeper Ashika Harishchandra Gadekar and forwards Somaya Mukundan and Sushmita Hanumant Jadhav from Goa have been selected in the final squad for the Asian Football Confederation U-14 Girl’s regional championship which will commence from April 18 and conclude on April 25, in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The tournament will feature seven countries from the South and Central zone divided into two groups. Hosts Nepal have been pooled in Group A along with Iran, Maldives and Sri Lanka while Group B is the battleground for Bhutan, Bangladesh and India, who are all competing for honours. The team is being coached by Maymol Rocky.
