RAIA: Scoring once in each half BDG earned a hard fought victory over PAK, 2-1, to march into the semi-finals of the Santa Cruz Club Trophy soccer, organized by Santa Cruz Club of Cavelossim and played at Fr Druston and Wellington ground, Cavelossim. B D G took early lead when a snap shot taken by Jason beat keeper Brizen Fernandes under PAK bar to lead 1-0.
In the second half, youthful PAK levelled the score when Royson Pereira scored from a goal mouth melee.
BDG made sure of their semi-final berth when defender Winson Pereira cleverly fed
Dexter in the box, whose first time shot into the top corner of PAK goal ensured their victory.
BDG now clash with ITS in the first semi-final on November 7.
The final is slated for November 10, partly under flood lights.
