Big win for Sesa FA, Desmond tricks for Sirlim

Ponda Footballers thrash Keunum SC 4-0

MAPUSA: Sesa Football Academy humbled Dempo Sports Club 5-0 in GFA’s under-16 League, at Sisaim ground, on Monday.
Sesa took the lead in the 11th minute through Kunal Salgaocar and doubled the advantage in the 28th minute through Kunal’s penalty after Asley Cardozo was brought down in the danger zone.
Changing over, Cyrus Noronha made it 3-0 from a 20-yard right-footer in the 51st minute while Dylan Fernandes scored the fourth in the 77th minute.
Vishnu Gosavi scored the final goal of the evening with a scorching out of the box effort.
On Sunday, Ponda Footballers defeated Keunum SC 4-0 at Santo Esteven ground.
Ponda Footballers coached by GFDC coach Jude Fernandes and Franky Mendonsa started their campaign in a style. 
Ponda Footballers dominated the game throughout with Virendra scoring two goals while Yogesh and Tekraj netting one each. 
At half time, Ponda Footballers were leading by a solitary goal scored by Virendra from a pass by Delbag Vaz. 
In the second half, Franky from the flanks chipped and Virendra control the ball on the chest and fired a volley giving no chance to opposite keeper. 
Soon Yogesh added another from a corner kick and Tekraj round off the tally as he got a through ball from Delbag. 
Ponda Footballers will take on Santo Esteven SC on November 27. 
Margao adds: A fine hat-trick by Desmond Fernandes helped Sirlim Sports Club wallop Colomord Ratvaddo Sports Club (CRSC), Navelim 6-2 at Rosary ground, Navelim. Sirlim led 4-1 at the breather.
Sirlim virtually toyed the rival weak defence with sharp raids and outplayed them in all departments of the game. Desmond opened the floodgates in the very 5th minute when he punished the rival goalkeeper with clinical finish.  
Desmond doubled the lead in the 11th minute. Then it was the turn of Krishna Shirodkar to add his name on the scorer’s list.
Down by 0-4, CRSC raised the tempo and in the 24th minute Mallapa placed the ball to the far corner of the net. Krishna registered his brace in the 30th minute. 
After resumption, Dexon Fernandes added his name on the scorer’s list. Desmond later completed his hat-trick in the 51st minute. Trevis D’Souza reduced the deficit when he converted the spot kick in the dying minutes.
