CALANGUTE: Candolim Sports Club got the better of hosts St Savio Sports Club, Calangute 2-0 to move into the finals of 1st Francisco and Matildinha Egipsy memorial inter-village football tournament at Poriat ground, here, Saturday.

Candolim dominated the proceedings and created a couple of scoring opportunities but their forwards were found wanting in front of the goal.
Candolim took the lead in the 24th minute Terence D’Mello tapped in the rebound after St Savio goalkeeper Marshal failed to hold on to a Kenneth D’Souza shot.
Trailing by a goal, Calangute went all-out in search of the equalizer but their attempts were thwarted by the Candolim defense.
Candolim scored again through Joelif Simoes off Paul Cardozo in the 45th minute to take the game away from St Savio.
