In the 21st minute, Salgaocar came close to scoring when Gilbert Oliveira crossed from the right but Oilex Oliveira missed the target.
At the other end, Brian Mascarenhas crossed for Churchill, but Nicholas Fernandes attempt from close range went over the bar.
Five minutes into the second half, Bobby Chand Singh swung in a free kick where Churchill’s custodian Floyd Dias made an attempt to catch the ball which unfortunately slipped his grasp and the lurking Alvito Miranda tapped in for Salgaocar’s equalizer.
Brian Mascarenhas fired in Churchill’s winning goal from the edge of the 18-yard box after receiving a cross from the left.
