CSM Taleigao went into the breather with a 2-0 lead.
Both the sides restricted play to the midfield for the first quarter of the match.

Down by a goal, Corps of Signals tried hard to level terms but the CSM Taleigao defence cut off their moves in the bud itself.
In the 30th minute, Prajat Mondol sent a defence splitting pass to Salu inside the 18-yard box, however Corps of Signals keeper Stijin came with a diving save before any damage could be done.
Five minutes later, Prajat saw his curling shot being neatly collected by the keeper.
In the 40th minute, Kreston charged into Corps of Signals danger zone and tried to place the ball home, however keeper Stijin came with a brilliant full length diving save to keep his effort at bay.
At the other end, Jeremia Lalrinsanga sent a fine cross to Ramingmawia inside the danger zone, however the latter’s firm header was collected by CSM Taleigao keeper Akash Diwadkar.
In a quick counter attack, Prajat further inflated the lead for CSM Taleigao when on getting hold off Kreston’s through pass he coolly slotted the ball home, 2-0.
In the injury moments of the match, CSM Taleigao could have scored yet another goal, however, Kreston having only the keeper at his mercy blasted the ball wide from handshaking distance.
Crossing over, Corps of Signals exerted tremendous pressure and managed to level terms in the 55th minute of play when Jeremia on getting hold of the ball on the edge of penalty area curled the ball past the stranded CSM Taleigao keeper, 1-2.
Corps of Signals pressed hard to find the precious equalizer but Nitesh Parwar, Ramingmawia and Cyril Dias failed to convert from the numerous chances that were created.
CSM Taleigao had their fair share of chances to further increase the lead but Corps of Signals keeper Stijin did remarkably well under the horizontal bar to deny the rival strikers.
In the injury moments of the match, CSM Taleigao were reduced by a man after their skipper Salu was given marching orders for abusive language.
