RAIA: Cuncolim Union entered the quarter-finals defeating Fr Agnel YSC, Paroda, 2-0 in the 42nd Sao Jose de Areal Panchayat Cup 2025 organised by Sao Jose de Areal, at Padribhat ground, Sao Jose de Areal, on Friday.
Both the goals came early in the first half through a fine brace from Vayne Pires, who struck in the 12th and 16th minute.
In the second half, Fr Agnel YSC dominated the proceedings but could not break through thanks to Cuncolim Union’s goalkeeper Sachin Velip, who pulled off crucial saves to deny Velroy Carvalho, Omkar Gaoncar and Godwin Fernandes.
