DICARPALE: Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda blanked Sao Jose de Areal 2-0 to move into the quarter-final of the Our Lady of Fatima Cup, organised by Dicarpale SC, played at Dicarpale ground, on Monday.
Melisho Camatio of Areal took control of the ball from Aggio Antao and shot from top of the Don Bosco box but his left footer sailed over the rival cross bar.
As the match progressed, Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda should have found the ball at the back of the rival nets but Necil Pinto’s shot missed the target by whiskers.
A best chance was missed by Fredric Endro of Areal in the 29th minute when he shot blindly into the safe hands of Don Bosco keeper.
In the second half Don Bosco regrouped and netted two quick goals. Roque Borges opened the account in the 44th minute before Necil made amends to his earlier misses and scored the team’s second at the hour mark.
