PANJIM, NOV 18
Goa’s Derryl D’Sousa and Vandana D’Cruz have been invited for the FIFA/AFC conference at Kuala Lampur, Malaysia from November 25 to 27.
They will be attending the conference as part of their continuing coaching education under the AFC project future.
The objectives of the conference are evaluation of top performing teams and identification of new trends at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, analysis of the Asian teams and top performing teams in the 2010 World Cup, comparative analysis of the Asian teams and top performing teams and exchange of experience and networking.
Derryl, of Old Goa is presently working as coach with Brasil Futebol Academia. He is also a sports teacher with Kendriya Vidhyalaya. He has completed his ‘C’ License course in Iran during the AFC U-13 football festival. He has completed his premier skills conducted by the British Council and SAI.
Vandana hails from Mapusa and has completed her Bachelor of Physical Education at Don Bosco College, Panjim and has managed Sporting Clube de Goa’s women’s team last season. She has completed her ‘C’ License course in Colombo, Sri Lanka during the AFC U-13 football festival.
Derryl and Vandana participated at the AFC U-19 Asian Youth Championship at Zibo, China in October.
