MAPUSA: A fine brace from Aaren D’Silva enabled FC Goa to an emphatic 3-1 win over Corps of Signals in the Goa Professional League match played at Signals ground, Navelim, on Friday.
Leander D’Cunha was the other goal scorer for the winners. Corps of Signals scored through Shuklab Bordoloi.
FC Goa, who dominated the early moments of the game, scored the first through Leander D’Cunha in the 18th minute when he scored from a close range.
After continued dominance, FC Goa doubled the account in the 26th minute through Aaren D’Silva.
Being two goals down, Corps of Signals showed intent to score and pulled a goal back through Shuklab Bordoloi as the they trailed by a goal at the break.
In the 52nd minute, Aaren Silva scored the third for the winners, thus completing his brace and ensuring three points for the young Gaurs.
