UTORDA: FC Goa hit five past Churchill Brothers SC in the U-18 Youth league match organised by AIFF and played at Utorda ground, on Friday.
FC Goa in the second minute had the best chances through Vincy Barreto’s long ranger but Piyush Rathod Churchill keeperl palmed away the ball to safety.
Churchill’s Joel Baretto tested the FC Goa keeper Antonio Dylan Da Silva but the keeper saved his brilliant shot in the sixth minute.
It was Vincy Barreto who sent in a ball to Joybert Ronaldo Almeida the striker of FC Goa who cooly tapped the ball inside Churchill net to open the score-line in the 29th minute.
Churchill Brothers’ Mario Carvalho’s and Flan Ansel Gomes’ shots were saved by FC Goa keeper in the 31st and 32nd minute respectively.
Upcoming striker Joybert Ronaldo Almeida netted the second for FC Goa in the 36th minute with a placement shot.
In the second half, Romario netted the third goal for FC Goa with a placement shot in the 48th minute.
With just ten minutes left for the final whistle, Joybert R Almeida completed his hat-trick to make it 5-0 for FC Goa.
