MAPUSA/CHANDOR: FC Sanquelim registered a 2-1 win over Siddheshwar SC Palim Surla in the GFA’s Third Division League Bardez Zone, at Quitula ground, on Tuesday.
Sanquelim unit scored a goal in each session of play through Joseph Fernandes (30th min) and Saidutt Hanjunkar (48th min) while Anup Bhamaikar pulled a goal for Siddeshwar.

At Nerul ground, United Club of Nerul and Silver Sand SC Candolim were locked in a 3-3 draw. For Silver Sand colts, Frazer Fernandes, Vinay Pednekar and Royce Gonsalves scored while for UC Nerul unit Rousley Gonsalves, Royce Gonsalves (2) found the net.
At St. Anthony’s Church ground, Siolim, FC Siolim managed to edge past Siolim Sodiem SC by 2-1.
Prajyot Fadte and Hussain Walikar scored for the winners while Ryan Fernandes scored for Siolim Sodiem.
Uguem Rising Club and Deao Sports Club played out a drab draw at Chandor ground. Neither side was able to break the deadlock in the regulation time. At Carmona ground, Fabius Baretto’s 26th minute goal proved to be the only difference in the game as Carmona SC edged past St Sebastian SC Benaulim.
